About the museum

The Gårdskullan maatalousmuseo was founded in 1982 in connection with the Gårdskulla manor in Siuntio. The museum presents rural life and development over the last hundred years, and it is a private museum.

The collection includes about a hundred veteran tractors from the 1920s to the 1960s, stationary engines, museum cars, household and peasant objects, and numerous agricultural machines and devices. There are around 15,000 objects, and the exhibition space in three buildings totals about 3,000 square metres.

In the old rural shop upstairs, time has stood still: sales packages collected from different decades tell of vanished brands. The village blacksmith's workshop presents tools from the early 20th century, and the museum also has household, dairy and laundry departments. A separate building is reserved for threshing machines and smaller harvesting tools.
