About the museum
The Kiukaisten Wanha pappila is the official residence of a curate, built at Eurakoski in 1865. Today it operates as a museum presenting parsonage culture and the local history of Kiukainen, together with its garden.
The parsonage holds objects from the church built in 1725, including the pulpit and the altarpiece painted in 1726. Upstairs are the estate of Satanahka Oy, displayed with its tools and photographs. In the shop in the yard are farming tools, a tappuri and a stationary engine.
Kiukaisten Kilta is restoring the parsonage garden as a heritage garden. In summer, events and changing exhibitions are held in the house in cooperation with various partners.
