About the museum
Uotila farm is an old family farm in Harjavalta, in the cultural landscape of the Kokemäenjoki (Kokemäki River). The present owners cultivate the same fields that their ancestors have farmed since 1604.
The farm has a Satakunta closed courtyard and a salirivi (hall range) about 160 years old. In the loft of the stable and the cowshed, about 700 objects from the age of self-sufficient farming and the horse era are on display. On the guided tour visitors get a comprehensive picture of the tools and working methods of the past, as told by the farm's old master.
The farm can also host family celebrations and meetings, and coffee or meal service is offered to groups in connection with the farm tour.
