About the museum
The old Uusikaupunki pilot station, built in the 1850s on Vallimäki hill, operates as a pilot museum in summer. Two rooms display original objects from the station and from other nearby pilot stations, including the Isokari and Lyökki stations, which tell of the demanding profession of the pilots in a seafaring town.
In the museum, child visitors can try tying knots or play detective tasks. The Luotsimuseo belongs to the museum services of the City of Uusikaupunki, whose main museum is the Wahlberg Museum House (Wahlbergin museotalo).
