About the museum
The Nokian kirkkomuseo is located below Nokia Church, next to the multipurpose hall. About a hundred objects from the history of the parish are on display.
For centuries Nokia belonged to the old parish of Pirkkala. The present church was completed in 1838 to a design by the office of Carl Ludvig Engel, as a round domed church modelled on the Pantheon in Rome. The church was altered in 1904 and 1907, when its round shape was changed and the pulpit was moved. A more extensive renovation was carried out in 1973–1974.
