About the museum
The Olkiluoto visitor centre is located in Olkiluoto, Eurajoki, in a naturally beautiful setting, so that the reactor units are visible from the visitor centre. The centre is run by Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area.
In the visitor centre visitors become acquainted with the operating principle of the nuclear power plant and the path of nuclear fuel from bedrock to bedrock. The science exhibition Sähköä uraanista (Electricity from Uranium) was made together with the Heureka Science Centre and is in Finnish and English.
From the centre begins and ends the approximately one-kilometre Voimaa luonnosta (Power from Nature) nature trail, which runs through the forest near the sea and is open in the summer season.
