About the museum
The Kokemäen Kotiseutuyhdistys (Kokemäki Local Heritage Association) was founded in 1913 and began collecting everyday tools and household goods for the museum. In 1938 the museum moved into an old grain storehouse, which made it the first museum in Finland to be housed in a former grain storehouse. The exhibition has changed very little since then.
The museum’s collection includes farm tools, scale models and tools of various trades, arranged across three floors.
