About the museum
Ker Dreger, also known as the Écomusée de Plouigneau, occupies a former village farm in the Trégor. It is devoted to the everyday life of country people from the 1860s to the 1970s. The site forms a genuine Breton village of 8,000 m², arranged around the main house, with farm buildings, a gallery of machines, a street of trades and, since 2023, an exhibition on agricultural revolutions.
Inside the house, three successive interiors show how housing evolved from 1900 to the 1970s, from the gradual arrival of modern comfort to a living room of the 1970s. An old classroom and a playroom complete the visit.
The Écomusée is also known for its collection of old tractors and bicycles, with rare pieces such as a McCormick tractor from 1916 brought from the United States, or a motorized Derny tandem from the 1930s. Volunteers and guides explain the cultivation of cauliflowers and artichokes and tell stories of life in the past. Throughout the year, activities enliven the site: clog-making, threshing the old way, starting old engines and butter-making.
