About the museum
The Musée de l’Armagnac occupies the outbuildings of the former episcopal palace in Condom. Exhibitions devoted to armagnac opened there in 1981, while the municipal collection dates back to 1848.
The collection consists mainly of paintings from the French school of the 19th century. One section is devoted to agricultural techniques and viticulture: it displays a large 19th-century wine press, as well as material on distilling and cooperage, along with their links to the local economy.
