About the museum
The museum houses the entire collection of Gertrude Schoen (1919–2016), a Franco-German metal sculptor. Her work includes goldsmith’s pieces, small and medium-sized statuary, monumental sculptures, pastels and collages.
The museum is located on the place de la Halle in the center of Laroque-Timbaut. The hanging of the collection was completely revised and redesigned in April 2018. Each year, the museum also hosts exhibitions of mainly local artists, organized with the Amis du Musée Gertrude Schoen association.
