About the museum

The Pézenas toy museum is in the town center, next to the tourist office. It presents itself as a museum for children and for those who have stayed children.

The collection numbers around 6,000 pieces across five rooms. It brings together toys from France, Germany and Spain, but also from Japan and America, dating from the late 19th century to 1970. As the collection is large, the objects on display are changed regularly.

The visit is free and has no set route: you move between the rooms, come across familiar toys or much older ones, and the museum aims to encourage encounters between generations. Two treasure trails have been designed for children, and a reading area offers general and specialist books.
