About the museum
The museum occupies the former church of Notre-Dame-du-Lot, built in 1835 by fishermen and boatmen of the lower quarter of Aiguillon. In 1858, its façade was replaced by that of the former church of Saint-Félix, a pediment that the Duke of Aiguillon had added to the church in the style of his château's architecture.
In 1988, the town restored the ruined chapel and converted it into a museum. It hosts temporary exhibitions, a Gallo-Roman mosaic and a collection of paintings and faience from the family of the painter Raoul Dastrac, whose name it bears.
