About the museum
The museum is housed in a former bakery in the village center of Lindewitt. The business has been preserved and converted into a small bakery museum that shows the craft of bread baking in the early 20th century.
On display is a fully equipped bakery with many equipment pieces around 100 years old, including a flour mill from 1930, a roll divider from 1900, and a dough mixer from 1920. Almost all of the machines still work and are demonstrated to visitors. Today the house is run as a village museum in the Schleswig-Flensburg district; inquiries go through the district's cultural foundation.
