About the museum
The museum belongs to the company JUNG since 1828, which grew out of a sweet factory, and opened in November 2000. It is located near the old railway station of Kleinglattbach on the first floor of the factory outlet “Gummi Bären Land”.
On around 300 square metres, the permanent exhibition tells the cultural history of the sweet – from its beginnings in the Near East in the 8th century to industrial production. On display are sweets, tins and packaging, advertising materials, as well as machines and equipment from production. A highlight is the fully preserved fittings of the Stuttgart grocery shop “Oskar Zahn”, more than a hundred years old. The museum sees itself as a destination for families, groups and school classes.
