About the museum
The Computermuseum belongs to the Technische Hochschule Brandenburg and is looked after by the Department of Computer Science and Media. It shows how rapidly computing technology has developed within a few decades.
Because space is limited, the exhibition focuses on computers from the GDR. The exhibits include historical storage media, such as a removable disk pack just over half a meter in diameter that held only one megabyte. In this way, visitors can see vividly how the size and storage capacity of computers have changed.
