About the museum
The Fleischmichlhaus in Pavelsbach is a farmhouse with a farmstead, first mentioned in records in 1813. In 2001 it was converted into a village museum and furnished with furniture and equipment from the time before World War II.
The exhibition shows village and farm life between 1900 and 1960. The parlor, kitchen and sleeping room are furnished with tables, chairs, cupboards and beds; dishes, cutlery, toys and household appliances show the daily life of the residents. Tools and machines for farm work are on display, such as a threshing machine; there is also an area on fire brigade equipment.
The Markt Postbauer-Heng is the sponsor of the museum. Every year, the potato festival (Kartoffelfest) of the Pavelsbach fruit and garden club and the Stodlweihnacht (barn Christmas) of the Pavelsbach village groups take place at the house.
