About the museum
The Landl-Museum shows traces of the past in the "Landl" around Sulzbürg up to the mid-20th century. It is housed in the former Protestant schoolhouse from 1861 on the market square and is looked after by the municipality of Mühlhausen.
The exhibition ranges from fossils from the Jurassic sea and finds from the Stone Age to the turn of the era, through the history of the lords of the Sulzbürg castle, the Austrian immigrants and the Jewish population. In addition there are rural work and living, old crafts, middle-class living around 1900, a schoolroom from around the turn of the century, as well as doll kitchens and toys. An exhibition on Arnold complements the house. Under the motto "Migration – eine Aufgabe über Jahrhunderte" (migration: a task spanning centuries), the museum documents the history and development of the village and its people.
