About the museum
The village museum "Leo´s Tenne" in Schweisweiler was founded and set up in 1989 by Leo Dörr. The historic barn holds countless objects connected with village and rural life in earlier times.
The exhibition tells village history through equipment that for the most part still works: it shows how butter was made, laundry was washed or juice was pressed. Many tools and work implements also give an insight into the trades once practiced in the village and into work without electricity.
