About the museum
Erlebnis Europa is a permanent exhibition in the Europäisches Haus Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate, which houses the representation of the European Commission in Germany and the liaison office of the European Parliament. It was created at the initiative of the European Parliament in cooperation with the European Commission and has been open to visitors since May 2016.
The multimedia display conveys the history, politics and everyday life of the European Union through interactive stations; all content is available in the 24 official languages. The centerpiece is a 360° cinema in which visitors experience a plenary session of the European Parliament. The exhibition shows, among other things, how the EU institutions work together and which projects have been realized in more than 90 European cities.
There are also offers for groups: a role-play in which participants act as members of parliament debating a legislative proposal, lectures on the EU and on disinformation, as well as guided tours and events.
