About the museum
In the Creglingen district of Waldmannshofen stands a historic moated castle, in whose rooms a fire brigade museum has been set up. The museum is one of the fire brigade museums in Baden-Württemberg listed in the overview kept by the state fire brigade association, and it is run by volunteers.
The collection traces how firefighting has developed over time. On display are old firefighting items that have been saved from disappearing, as well as equipment and depictions showing how fire fighting and technical rescue have changed over the centuries.
The museum is open on weekends during the summer season; groups can also visit at other times by arrangement and book guided tours.
