About the museum
The Dietenhofen palace was originally a seat of nobility, most recently of the von Leonrod family. After it was sold to the margrave in 1684, it served as an administration building; in 1822 the municipality acquired it and set up a school there. Since 1970 the building has housed the local history museum.
Under the motto “So lebten unsere Vorfahren” (“This is how our ancestors lived”), the Heimatverein Dietenhofen e. V. shows agricultural tools and craft implements, household goods, and documents on local history and club life across about 420 square meters. Changing special exhibitions are held regularly.
