About the museum
The Eppelborn local history museum was set up in 1980 by the founding generation of the Förderkreis für Heimatkunde und Denkmalpflege Eppelborn, which had been formed in 1979. Within a year, the active members presented a well-received museum on the history of the municipality.
The Förderkreis still runs and maintains the house on a volunteer basis. It also works on local history research, the local archive, genealogy and the publication of the Eppelborner Heimathefte. Since 2014 the museum has been closed until further notice due to inadequate fire protection.
