About the museum
The Heimatstube Eggesin is housed in the lovingly restored Alte Schule (old school) in the town center. With many exhibits and written and pictorial documents, it records the history of the village and town of Eggesin.
Main themes are the timber and brick industries, barge shipping (Kahnschifferei) on the Randow and the Haff, and Eggesin as a garrison town. Particularly charming are the numerous pieces of furniture, household items, and clothing from past times.
