About the museum
The Heimatstube of Mühlhausen was set up in 1971 on the ground floor of the school and town hall building, which was built in 1815. The room holds around thirty people and also serves as a community room.
The museum collection includes farmhouse furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries, rural everyday objects from the village, and religious paintings with depictions of the Evangelists from the late 17th century. The Heimatstube stands alongside other evidence of village life in Mühlhausen, such as the farm museum and the forge.
