About the museum
The information centre of the Krickenbecker Seen Biological Station lies directly on the lake district near Nettetal and serves as a starting point for excursions through the varied natural landscape. With the support of the NRW-Stiftung, it was set up in the old lido of the Krickenbecker Seen and extended with an annex in 2005.
The exhibitions give insights into the nature of the protected areas looked after by the station. From the viewing platform outside, visitors look out over the Hinsbecker Bruch and the waterfowl. The building was later made largely barrier-free with funding from the Rhineland Regional Association.
