Museum of the Jugendstilverein in Badehaus 3 of the Sprudelhof in Bad Nauheim, with a collection of ceramics, glass, metal and graphic art from around 1900.
Decorative design from around 1900 in furniture, glass, ceramics, jewellery, textiles and graphics from Jugendstil, the Vienna Secession and Art Nouveau, supplemented by Art Deco of the 1920s and 1930s.
The extended exhibition shows fashion and fashion graphics from 1890 to 1930.
About the museum
The Jugendstilforum is run by the Jugendstilverein Bad Nauheim e. V. The association was founded in 1997 and is devoted to preserving and presenting the Sprudelhof in Bad Nauheim, the largest enclosed Art Nouveau complex in Europe. The idea of setting up its own forum in Badehaus 3 arose with the Stiftung Sprudelhof, established in 2009.
Since it opened in 2021, the house has shown, in the former bathing cells, a collection focused on ceramics, glass, metal and graphic art; the collection and the exhibition texts come from Manfred Geisler. A reconstructed living room and cabinet exhibitions supplement the changing main exhibitions. An interactive station tells the story of the men who shaped the spa.
In the splendid waiting hall with its mosaics, the Museumscafé Auguste invites visitors, and roses grow in the Schmuckhof. The association also organizes lectures, guided tours and fashion shows and takes part in the annual Jugendstilfestival.
