About the museum
The museum goes back to the collecting passion of Karin Heinle, who gathered toys over three decades. The idyllic Hagenmühle mill in the Zottbach valley became the home of this collection.
Together with the doll maker Christa Mühlbauer, the individual pieces were cleaned, restored and supplemented, so that today they convey a coherent picture of different eras. The period spans from the Biedermeier era to the 1960s.
On display are dolls and doll rooms, toy shops and plush toys, as well as a lively fairground with a circus, carousels, a toy train and market stalls, plus farmyards and a manor house. The exhibits tell of living, cooking, dressing, playing and learning in past times. A cup of coffee and a slice of cake make a cozy end to the visit.
