About the museum
The painter Oswald Malura (1906–2003), an artist from the Schwabing circle, set up a "Haus der Begegnung" (house of encounters) in 1977 in a farmhouse in Oberdießen. It was intended to serve artistic education.
Today the house accommodates the Malura Museum. It shows the painter's artistic estate, above all colorful impressions from his journeys to India, Sri Lanka and Latin America.
In addition to the permanent display, there are temporary exhibitions, concerts and events. A friends' circle supports the house.
