About the museum
The stud bull stable in the former village of Unterurbach served the municipality for a long time as a stable for the communally kept breeding bulls and remained almost unchanged for decades. Since 2004 the Geschichtsverein Urbach (Urbach history association) has used the building as a museum.
The exhibition on two levels has three focal points: the building itself in its function as a stud bull stable and the keeping of stud bulls as a communal task; agriculture in Urbach, with a focus on part-time farming; and a collection of wagons and carts with a historic wheelwright’s workshop.
In the barn area, exhibitions on changing themes take place from time to time.
