About the museum
The Museum für PuppentheaterKultur, or PuK for short, has been part of the KulturViertel in Bad Kreuznach since April 2005 and is housed in the Rittergut Bangert. The town of Bad Kreuznach is the sponsor, and a friends' association supports the museum.
On about 900 square meters the museum shows puppet theater from around the world, including well-known marionettes from the Augsburger Puppenkiste and examples of puppet-theater traditions recognized as World Heritage. Experiment stations explain how marionettes work and how wooden heads are made.
On the first floor a chamber theater hall with 110 seats has been set up, which also offers wheelchair spaces. Performances take place there.
