About the museum
The narrow-gauge railway museum is in the upper Lindelgrund on the edge of Guldental, on the site of a former moulding-sand pit where a camping park is now run. Narrow-gauge field railways were once used in pits, brickworks, quarries and agriculture to transport material.
The locomotive hall houses more than 40 narrow-gauge locomotives. On running days, historic trains take visitors on a roughly 45-minute round trip through the Lindelgrund with views over vineyards and the Guldenbach valley. The locomotive hall is only accessible during these running times; the site also includes a playground and a restaurant in a narrow-gauge railway setting.
