About the museum
The Museum im Klösterle sees itself not as a classic local history museum, but as a living record of Peiting's history from prehistoric times to the recent past. It is run by volunteer museum guides, who present their own sections.
The collection is divided into specialist sections: history and sacred art, Peiting's mining, a ski museum, beekeeping, and hunting and fishing between the Lech and Ammer rivers. Changing special exhibitions and a Museum Night supplement the permanent offer.
