About the museum
The museum is located directly next to the factory outlet of the Vatter V1 stocking factory in Altenstadt near Schongau, on the site of the former Bellinda fine-stocking manufactories.
It explains clearly how the stocking and its production have developed, and shows many unique items, including hand-knitted stockings from 1850 and the first Perlon stocking in the world.
