About the museum
In 1995 the municipality of Grafenrheinfeld set up a treasury in the former brewery on the church square, where the holdings of liturgical vessels and church textiles of the Catholic church foundation are shown. The ground floor and the first and second floors of the building are devoted to the exhibition.
On display are valuable figures, monstrances, chalices, liturgical vestments and missals. Highlights include a late Rococo monstrance from an Augsburg silversmith's workshop, a red vestment from the 19th century, and a richly bound book by the bookbinder Martin Dörflein from 1896, which was awarded a state prize.
In the attic hangs the procession canopy, which is still carried in processions today; sisters of a Munich religious order made it by hand between 1917 and 1924. A small museum guide with illustrations is available free of charge from the municipal administration.
