About the museum
The STIHL Markenwelt is the brand museum of the chainsaw manufacturer ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG. It sits in the Waiblingen district of Neustadt on the bank of the Rems and opened in 2023.
The building comprises three levels with around 1,600 square metres of exhibition space. It tells the story of the company from its beginnings and the vision of founder Andreas Stihl to its rise to world market leader, and shows historical exhibits such as the STIHL Contra chainsaw from 1959. The exhibition concept has been honoured with the Red Dot Award and the Focus Open Award, among others.
Other areas are devoted to the products and their technology, to the forest with nature films and sensory stations, and to the sport of timber sports (STIHL TIMBERSPORTS). Many stations are designed to be touched and hands-on.
