Heimatmuseum Rothenklempenow und Torgalerie

About the museum

The former Heimatstube (local history room) of Rothenklempenow became a local history museum in 2022. Its permanent exhibition offers insights into the history of the village, which is more than 750 years old; a striking eye-catcher is a large model showing the village around 1860.

Next to the museum, the Torgalerie opened the same year, on June 16, 2022, with photographs by Neubrandenburg photographer Martin Kulinna. It is a space for changing exhibitions on life and work in the countryside as well as local and regional history. At the same time, it serves as a venue for local educational work and for community life in the village. The new exhibition space was supported by the project "GEH MIT!" of Arbeit und Leben M-V.

Since summer 2023, the association Q-Dorf e. V. has supported the work at the local history museum and in the Torgalerie. Both are on the Schloßstraße in Rothenklempenow and are part of village development around Schloss Rothenklempenow.
