About the museum
In autumn 2008, friends of old tractors and farm machinery from the area around the town of Usedom met for first discussions. In 2009, the association was officially founded with the first Usedom tractor and tractor meeting; in 2013 it was entered in the register of associations. In the same year, the decision was made to build a tractor hall on a plot of land the association had acquired on Stolper Straße.
After funding was approved in May 2014, construction began in October 2014. After nine months of building, the hall opened on June 19, 2015. On roughly 480 square meters, it presents a cross-section of about 100 years of tractor history. Historical harvesting equipment is displayed under an adjoining lean-to roof. On the roughly 7,000-square-meter outdoor grounds, display plots with different grain varieties are planned.
