About the museum
The Emotions Museum was founded in 2006 and celebrates twenty years of operation in 2026. It is housed in a listed building in the Filopappou area of Athens.
Its aim is to offer a safe and creative space where children and teenagers can get to know themselves and their feelings. The museum is also aimed at adults and supports emotional health and well-being.
Its activities are based on the principle “hands, mind and heart”. Each exhibit is a small work of art, an activity or a story that visitors can handle. The museum belongs to the international network of children’s museums Hands On International and to the Network of Museums and Cultural Organisations of Athens.
