About the museum

The EAM-ELAS-DSE Museum was inaugurated on 31 October 2021 in Nestorio, Kastoria. It was created by the KKE (Communist Party of Greece) and operates under its own responsibility.

The museum includes archive and photographic material from the activity of the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE) during the civil war, mainly in the Grammos area, but not only there. According to the Municipality of Nestorio, it has a very high number of visitors and is among the municipality’s points of interest, together with the DSE Guerrillas’ Hospital on Grammos.
