About the museum
The Kőbányai Sörgyár (Kőbánya Brewery) opened the Söripari Emléktár (Brewing Memorial Museum), a permanent exhibition on the history of the factory and of brewing and its tools, in 1979, on the 125th anniversary of the factory's founding. The exhibition is unique in the country and internationally.
On the fortieth anniversary of the opening, the exhibition was renovated: as a result of works begun in 2019, a modern and interactive beer history exhibition now welcomes visitors at the entrance to the brewery, at the start of the road now named after Dreher Antal.
Visitors can learn what raw materials beer is made from, how it was brewed in the past and today, which drinking habits have developed, what a hand bottling device looks like, and what has happened on the grounds of the Dreher Sörgyárak. The memorial museum is run by Dreher Sörgyárak Zrt.
