About the museum
Tényő lies in a valley of the Sokoró hills, about twenty kilometres from Győr. The village heritage house is among the village’s built heritage; it recalls the traditions of folk architecture of the Kisalföld, and its furnishings show the everyday life of the serfs (jobbágyok) who once lived here.
The heritage house is also opened to visitors on the Day of the Village Heritage Houses (Tájházak Napja). In April 2024, alongside the visit to the house, dishes typical of the Sokoró area and wines from Tényő from the Pannonhalma Wine Region awaited visitors.
