About the museum
The visitor centre in Casteldelfino, in Valle Varaita, is dedicated to the Bosco dell’Alevé, a wooded area known for its Swiss stone pines. It is run by the Ente di gestione delle aree protette del Monviso (formerly Parco del Po cuneese).
The heart of the visit is a walk-through, life-size diorama that recreates part of the forest: a path painted on canvas runs between Swiss stone pines and along a rock face.
The centre also offers educational activities for schools, which require a booking.
