About the museum
The Collezione Peruzzi arose from the passion of Vittorio Peruzzi, who has been collecting serial works of Italian contemporary art since 1980: lithographs, screenprints, etchings, multiples and original prints. The core of the collection was kept for years in Milan and was moved in 2017 to Tarquinia, in the Viterbo area of Tuscia.
The venue is an isolated farmhouse at the Piane del Marta, among the hills, converted into a house museum. The works are displayed in the domestic rooms, together with a collection of furniture that traces the history of modern furniture, with pieces by architects and designers of the international modern movement, including Le Corbusier, Wright, Rietveld, Mies van der Rohe, Mollino, Ponti and Magistretti.
The collection includes works by artists such as Fontana, Burri, Castellani, Afro, Kounellis, Boetti, Penone, Cattelan, Paolini, Merz, Manzoni, Capogrossi and Pistoletto. The house also has a library specialising in modern and contemporary art, with catalogues devoted to the multiple, which can be consulted by appointment.
