About the museum
La Mecca del Videogioco presents itself as the first video game museum in Italy to be permanently open to the public. Born from the passion of collectors and enthusiasts and run entirely by volunteers, without public funding, it was officially inaugurated on 27 May 2012, after an earlier period of opening.
The venue is the Polimuseo di Gattorna, at the middle school of Gattorna di Moconesi. The museum displays curiosities and historic or rare pieces and lets visitors play various consoles and arcade cabinets. It also serves as a meeting place where enthusiasts exchange memories and information. Themed events and shared lunches are held regularly.
