About the museum
The museum opened on 7 March 1988 in Arezzo, and the Unoaerre website presents it as the first Italian museum dedicated to the art of goldsmithing. It tells the story of the company Gori & Zucchi, founded by the deed of incorporation signed on 15 March 1926 by Leopoldo Gori and Carlo Zucchi.
The historic collection comprises more than 2,000 works, including original designs, goldsmith's work and jewellery, and covers more than eighty years of production. The route moves through the Belle Époque of the 1920s, the Art Deco of the 1930s, the made in Italy of the 1950s, the chains of the 1970s and the revivals of the 1980s and 1990s.
The museum is located at the Unoaerre company headquarters, in the San Zeno area, and can be visited free of charge by appointment only.
