About the museum
The Birra Peroni museum and historical archive occupy more than 500 square metres inside the company's Roman plant. The museum tells the story of the company and its brands through objects, images, original documents and period films.
The route is divided into three sections: the first traces the company's industrial history, including an olfactory and tactile path; the second is dedicated to the product and its consumption in Italy; the third concerns advertising and communication, centred on Peroni's “Bionda” (the blonde).
The archive holds about 500 linear metres of paper documentation, including the holdings of the plants in Bari, Naples, Livorno and Padua and of the companies acquired, around 1,400 films and about 10,000 photographs from 1880 to the present day, as well as packaging, advertising material, machinery and tools, and a library of more than a thousand volumes.
