About the museum
The museum is set up in a stone farmhouse in Carcente, a hamlet of the municipality of San Siro, and tells the daily life of a community based on subsistence farming and livestock breeding.
The route leads through the original rooms of the house: the stable, the cellar and the “ca’ del föc” (fire room), where chestnuts were dried. Furniture, work tools and household utensils complete the display.
The site is run by the association “Amici di Carcente” (Friends of Carcente), which also organises cultural and recreational events in the village in summer.
