About the museum
The museum is housed in the old Celestine mill, a building erected at an unspecified date to serve the community of Pratola. It was the largest in the area and had two millstones, one for wheat and one for maize; a third millstone for wheat was added at the beginning of the 17th century.
The display is spread over two floors. On the ground floor are three well-preserved millstones, surrounded by tools for processing cereals, for weighing and for other uses connected with rural life. At the foot of the staircase are two old school desks with original inkwells and pen nibs.
