About the museum
The Bojano civic museum is housed in the Palazzo Colagrosso, an early 20th-century building in the Umbertine style overlooking Piazza della Vittoria. The route is divided into two sections.
The archaeological section displays pottery, jewellery, coins and weapons from the 5th–4th century BC, found in the Bojano area, an ancient centre of the Pentri Samnites. The palaeontological section holds fossils of organisms that lived in the Tethys Sea, of which the Matese area was part in prehistoric times.
