About the museum
The civic museum of Nurachi is named after Peppetto Pau, a writer and scholar of note in 20th-century Sardinia, and offers an ethnographic route through the traditions of the village. It is housed in an old manor house (casa padronale) in the centre of Nurachi, in the Campidano di Oristano.
The display is arranged in four multimedia rooms presenting the natural environment of the wetlands, traditional architecture, music, in particular the launeddas, an ancient reed instrument, and food culture.
